TagAssign Getting Started

Assigning G8 from the TagAssign Screen

Steps for assigning a G8 device from the TagAssign screen using a paired NFC tag.

Once an NFC tag is successfully paired to a user, it can be used to assign the user to an unassigned G8 device.
Note: To assign yourself to a G8 device, the G8 device must not already be assigned to another user.
  1. From the Status screen, press the left or right button until the TagAssign screen displays.
    TagAssign screen: Device is currently unassigned
  2. Hold your paired NFC tag near the middle of the screen.

    G8 vibrates once to confirm the tag was detected.

If successful, a Hello! screen briefly displays after a few seconds, then G8 updates to the Assigned state.
