TagAssign (Field Device Assignment)
An overview to the TagAssign feature for G8.
TagAssign allows you to quickly assign or unassign yourself from a G8 device by tapping a paired NFC tag—no menu navigation or administrator is required.

Pairing versus Assigning
Pairing: This term refers to the act of setting up an NFC tag with user details. The tag itself, once paired to a single user, only interacts with an unassigned G8 device to assign it to the user details on the tag.
There is no limit to the number of NFC tags that can be paired to a single user. Once the tag is paired to a user, it is added to the user's organization and can be viewed on the TagAssign page in Blackline Live. A Blackline Live Administrator can unpair a tag but cannot remove it from an organization and move it to a different organization.
Assigned: This term applies to the status of the G8 device. When a G8 is assigned, it is attached to a specific team member's details. Activities, alerts, etc. on the device are tracked under that team member in Blackline Live.
