Secondary Mode Behavior

Pump Requirement

Pump Run mode cannot be entered without a pump cartridge installed. If a diffusion cartridge is installed, Pump Run mode cannot be accessed in the menu. Pump Run mode is only activated when a valid pump cartridge is detected and passes the required checks.

Block Test Enforcement

Before a pump-based mode activates, the device performs a block test to verify airflow through the cartridge and tubing. If the test fails due to obstruction, disconnected hose, or an incorrectly installed cartridge the mode is canceled, and an error is shown.

Timeout Behavior

Most secondary modes include a configurable timeout period. When the timer expires, the user must confirm continuation. If no input is given, the device exits the mode and returns to standard monitoring. Modes like Pump Run, High Risk, and Over LEL do not time out and must be exited manually.

Mode Indicators

While a secondary mode is active, the screen inverts and displays the mode name.

If the pump is running, the yellow LED flashes every 30 seconds to confirm active airflow.
