Manual Pump Block Tests
Manual pump block tests confirm that an inlet can pull air correctly and help verify that a previous Pump Blocked condition is resolved. Tests can be run on all assigned inlets or individually.
- Tests must be performed when sampling is inactive.
- A test passes when airflow is detected after a temporary obstruction.
- If the test fails, a Block test failed message displays. The inlet remains inactive.
Manual block test procedure varies by device type:
- G7/G8: Manual block tests are performed by obstructing the inlet while in pump mode. If the screen displays a Pump Blocked notification and returns to normal after the inlet is unblocked, the test is successful.
- EXO: Manual pump block tests are accessible from the Gas options menu. You can test all inlets or select an individual inlet. A message confirms when the test is completed. If the test fails, EXO displays a Block test failed message.
Note:
Sampling must be stopped before performing a pump block test.
