Latching Behavior for Gas Notifications and Faults

Latching determines if a gas notification remains active after the condition clears. When latching is enabled, the notification does not clear automatically and must be acknowledged or resolved through the device interface.

As described in Latching vs Non-latching, gas notifications are non-latching by default and clear automatically unless latching is enabled in the configuration profile.

Fault notifications behave differently. Certain conditions, such as sensor errors, start-up failures, or MPS zero confirmation timeouts, are always latched and require user intervention to clear.
