Installing Location Beacons
You can install Location Beacon's mounting bracket on a wall or in a corner.
Record where you install Location Beacons so that you can reference the information when you place beacons in Blackline Live. You can use the Location Beacon Information Worksheet to help organize this information.
You can install Location Beacons using either a standard mounting bracket, or a tamper‑proof mounting bracket to prevent unauthorized removal. If you order a tamper-proof mounting bracket, the package includes both a standard and a tamper-proof mounting bracket. The tamper-proof mounting bracket has a screw hole at the bottom to secure Location Beacon with a security Torx T10 (TT10) screw.
- Press up to remove the standard mounting bracket from Location Beacon.
- Place the standard or tamper-proof mounting bracket in the desired location (either wall or corner) with the arrow on the inside of the bracket pointing upward. Mark the position of the two mounting holes.
- Prepare the mounting surface with pilot holes and the installation of drywall anchors as needed.
- Mount the bracket in place using the supplied screws.
- Hook Location Beacon on top of the mounting bracket and snap it into place.
- If you're using a tamper-proof mounting bracket, use a TT10 Torx screwdriver to drive the TT10 Torx screw into the tamper-proof screw hole.
