Powering on G8

Steps to power on G8.

Powering on G8 initiates the device start-up sequence. During the start-up sequence, G8 automatically completes a self-test of the device's visual and audible functions.

Always power G8 on in a clean, gas-free environment.

  1. Press and hold the center button until the screen lights up.
    G8 runs through its startup sequence automatically.
  2. Wait for the green connectivity light to turn solid, indicating a successful connection. If G8 is out of cellular service, it reconnects automatically once service is available.
    When complete, the Status screen displays.
