RSM Overview

A description of the optional RSM accessory for a G8 device.

G8 supports the use of an optional RSM (Remote Speaker Microphone) (ACC-RSM-001) for easier communication in noisy environments, greatly increasing the volume of the G8 during voice applications. It enhances support for quick access to volume control and incoming audio notifications. The RSM can be used for two-way communication with other G8 devices, similar to a two-way radio.

The RSM, when connected to G8, is powered through the G8 battery and remains powered on until it is physically disconnected.

Warning: Only the Blackline Safety provided RSM is permitted for use with G8. The use of any other RSM or similar device can present an explosion hazard in hazardous classified locations.
Warning: Always connect or disconnect the RSM in a non-hazardous location.
