May 2026 G7c 3.505 Firmware Update
Learn about the latest improvements to G7 and the new Pump Cartridge F2 and A-CART.
We are pleased to announce that the G7 firmware version 3.505 update will be available for G7c devices with a Cartridge F2 installed on May 6, 2026. This update includes the following new features:
Global firmware version 3.505
Support for new Pump Cartridge F2
Mandatory pump run mode configuration
German and Italian translation update
Device improvements
Firmware release 3.505 improves reliability and usability across supported G7c devices. The improvements streamline common pumped sampling tasks and reduce manual steps, helping you work more efficiently while minimizing the risk of human error in safety-critical environments.
Supported Cartridge and Device Models
Firmware 3.505 is only compatible with Cartridge F2 and will only be provided to G7c devices with a Cartridge F2 installed. If your currently have a Cartridge F1 installed on your G7c device, you will need to install a Cartridge F2 to download firmware 3.505. For more information or to discuss upgrade options, please contact our Technical Support team.
Installing a Cartridge F1 on a G7c device with firmware version 3.505 will trigger a Wrong cartridge error.
The following device models are supported for this update:
G7-NA2/EU2/AZ2 (3571******)
G7-NA2/EU2/AZ2 (3570******)
The following device models are not supported for this update:
Original G7C (3566/3568)
G7-NA/EU (3567/3569)
Support for New Pump Cartridge F2
Firmware version 3.505 includes the framework required to support the new standard Pump Cartridge F2 and the A-CART. This update follows our certification on a new performance standard for LEL sensors.
A-CART is a new cartridge designed for pumped configurations where continuous operation is required. The A-CART will only operate in pump mode, which will support work in 0% Oxygen environments and common pumped sampling operations.
Auto Pump Start Configuration
You can now configure supported G7c devices that have both firmware 3.505 and the Pump Cartridge F2 installed to automatically run in pump sampling mode when the device is powered on. This configuration removes the need for manual setup, reduces the risk of human error, and improves usability for people wearing restrictive PPE (Hazmat).
For instructions on enabling this configuration setting, see the Blackline Live Technical User Manual.
German and Italian Translation Update
Firmware version 3.505 also includes an improved translation of German and Italian in G7c's interface to provide clearer terminology for German- and Italian-speaking users so that prompts, warnings, and status messages are easier to understand in the field.
Device Improvements
Firmware version 3.505 also includes the following improvements:
Backlight timeout: The backlight timeout will be increased from 10 seconds to 20 seconds, providing more time for you to read the onscreen messaging.
G7 PowerPack false no motion alarms: This update improves G7's ability to recognize when it is in a charging state with PowerPack attached to prevent false no motion alarms.
CO2 sensor improved calibration reliability: This update enhances G7's ability to detect when no calibration gas is being applied during a calibration to prevent incomplete or unreliable calibrations.
