When to Perform a Pump Block Test

Run a pump block test whenever there is a risk of restricted airflow that may interfere with gas sampling, including:
  • After connecting or replacing tubing.

  • After installing or replacing inlet filters.

  • After clearing a Pump Blocked notification.

  • Before starting a critical sampling operation.

  • After exposure to cold temperatures below -20°C (-4°F).
