Pump Block Detection at Start-up
At start-up, pump-equipped devices verify that airflow can be established before sampling begins. If flow is not detected, a Pump Blocked notification appears and sampling through the affected inlet is suspended.
- G7/G8: Prompts for a manual block test when entering a pumped mode. The inlet must be briefly blocked and unblocked to confirm normal operation. If the test fails, the mode is canceled.
- EXO: Begins a two-minute purge cycle when an inlet is activated. If flow is not detected during the purge, the inlet remains inactive and triggers a Pump Blocked notification.
Note:
Start-up checks only apply to assigned inlets. Cold temperatures may cause temporary block conditions below -20°C (-4°F).
