At start-up, the device verifies that each installed sensor is functioning correctly. If a sensor fails this check, a high-urgency Sensor Error notification displays and gas sampling for that sensor does not begin.

Sensor faults may also be triggered during operation. If a fault occurs, the device suspends gas readings for the affected sensor and maintains the fault state until the issue is resolved.

Restarting the device does not clear a sensor fault. The affected cartridge must be inspected or replaced before gas monitoring can resume.
