Understanding Exported Data
You can export data used to generate a report visual into a format that provides you with the flexibility to sort and filter information. You can also add exported data to your own internal documents and reporting tools.
When exporting data from large data tables, the more organizations and devices you select increase the risk of Blackline Analytics timing out. We recommend that you apply filters to narrow the search results before exporting data to avoid the risk of timing out.
You can choose to export either of the following data subsets:
Summarized data — Only show the data that is visible in your visual based on the applied filters. Applied filters are listed in the exported data file.
Data with current layout — Export a table or matrix in the exact arrangement you see within the report, with formatting removed.
