<body><main xmlns:jcm-link-man="http://jorsek.com/content-management/modules/linkmanagement" role="main"><article role="article" id="concept-7951" aria-labelledby="ariaid-title1"><h1 class="title topictitle1" id="ariaid-title1">May 2026 Update Improves Bump Test and Calibration Reporting in Blackline Analytics</h1><div class="body conbody"><p class="shortdesc">Learn about an upcoming update   to Blackline Analytics that improves  how  device bump test and calibration status is determined.</p><p class="p">In May 2026, Blackline Safety is improving how device status is displayed in Blackline Analytics to make it easier to confirm that your devices are up to date.  </p><p class="p">Blackline Analytics displays the bump test and calibration status
of devices in the Bump Tests and Calibrations report. In some cases, a device might appear up‑to‑date in the Overdue and Upcoming Tests tab even if it has not connected to Blackline Analytics for an extended period and is due for a bump test or calibration.  This behavior only occurs on the Overdue and Upcoming Tests tab of the Bump Tests and Calibrations report. It does not affect the information on the  Usage and Compliance report, the Bump Tests and Calibrations report, or any other compliance metrics. </p><p class="p"> After this update, device status will be based on configuration profile settings and the date of the last successful bump test or calibration.
As a result, devices that have not communicated with Blackline Analytics for an extended period will no longer appear as up to date. This update helps ensure that device status accurately reflects current connectivity and configuration.</p><section class="section"><h2 class="title sectiontitle" id="determining-if-a-device-is-up-to-date-0">Determining if a Device is Up-to-Date</h2><p class="p">Before this update, device status was based on the last reported data from each device.             Essential email reports:</p><ul class="ul"><li class="li"><p class="p"><a class="xref" href="#usage">Usage report</a></p></li><li class="li"><p class="p"><a class="xref" href="#high_gas_events">High gas events report</a></p></li><li class="li"><p class="p"><a class="xref" href="#alerts">Alerts report</a></p></li></ul><p class="p">We are transitioning the email reports to a new format,
            offering a refreshed, consistent design across all three reports.
            The updated reports will start rolling out by September 1, 2025,
            and will take place in phases over several
            weeks.</p><p class="p">As part of this change, the reports are now being sent
            from a new email address: <a class="xref j-external-link" href="mailto:blacklinereporting@blacklinesafety.com" target="_blank">blacklinereporting@blacklinesafety.com</a>.
            To avoid any disruption, please ask your IT team to add this
            address to your organization's trusted senders

            to more clearly describe the data they contain, making it easier to
            find and understand the insights you need. The updated page names
            are:</p><ul class="ul"><li class="li"><p class="p">Device With No Usage in the Reporting Period</p></li><li class="li"><p class="p">Device Usage by Device ID</p></li><li class="li"><p class="p">Device Usage by Average Daily Usage Hours</p></li><li class="li"><p class="p">Device Usage by Total Usage</p></li></ul><p class="p">We are adding new insights to the first page of the report
            to provide you with a high-level summary and key metrics from the
            report. The new insights are: total usage, average daily use, and
            devices not used insights. The devices used insight is also being
            updated to now compare the number of devices used to the total

            layout of live certificates and
            downloadable PDF versions have been updated. Test results are
            highlighted and display at the top of the certificate to provide a
            more intuitive presentation of your key data.</p><p class="p">Several new data fields are
            added to provide a more
            comprehensive view of each test, offer deeper insights into device
            performance and testing conditions, and support better diagnostics

incorrect. This can include unexpected positioning, movement, or time zone
changes.<span class="ph"></span></p><p class="p">This behaviour is consistent with GPS signal interference,
sometimes referred to as GPS jamming or spoofing. These events occur when
external radio signals disrupt or override satellite signals, which can affect
the location data received by devices and displayed in Blackline Live.<span class="ph"></span></p></section><section class="section"><h2 class="title sectiontitle" id="where-and-why-this-is-happening-0">Where and Why this is Happening</h2><p class="p">Recent reports indicate increased GPS interference across

of heightened regional military activity, when electronic countermeasure
systems or other radio frequency sources are in use. These signals can impact

     data in Blackline Live may be temporarily inaccurate in affected areas<span class="ph"></span></li><li class="li">This
