Changing the PTT or RSM Volume

Steps to change the volume on PTT or RSM calls for G8.

Follow these steps to change the increase or lower the volume during a PTT call, or for the audio when the optional RSM is connected.

You can change the volume of incoming PTT messages from either the Quick Access menu or the PTT options menu. Changing the PTT volume does not affect G8's notification sounds.

  1. From the Status screen:
    • Press the left or right button to display the Quick Access menus, then scroll to the PTT Quick Access menu.PTT Quick Access menu
    • Press the center button to display the Main menu, then select PTT options. Skip to step 3.
  2. From the PTT Quick Access menu, press and hold the center button.

  3. Use the right button to scroll to Change Volume, then press the center button to select it.

  4. Press the left and right buttons to adjust the volume level, then press the center button to save the new setting.
