Zeroing G8

Steps to manually zero G8.

If G8 is not reading zero and you know you are in an atmosphere with no gas, G8's baseline may have shifted, and the sensors may need to be zeroed. If you can calibrate your device, it is best practice to do so, but you can manually zero your sensors if you are unable to calibrate.
Note: The baseline reading for oxygen is 20.9. The baseline reading for CO2 is <1200 ppm.
  1. Using the left and right buttons, scroll through the menu, then select Gas options by pressing the center button.

  2. Using the left and right buttons, scroll through the menu, then select Zero sensors by pressing the center button.

  3. To continue, select Yes by pressing the left button. To exit the workflow, select No by pressing the right button.

  4. Press the center button to return to the Gas info menu.

If you see a zero incomplete message on your screen, you may be in an environment with gas levels, or your cartridge may need to be replaced. Contact your organization's safety professional or the Blackline Safety Technical Support team for assistance troubleshooting your device.
