Viewing G8's Assignment State
Ways to verify G8's current assignment state.
You can check G8's current assignment state through the TagAssign screen or through the TagAssign menu.
TagAssign Screen States
From the Status screen, press the left or right button to scroll to the TagAssign screen and display the device's current assignment state.
Assigned State: When G8 is assigned, the title "Assigned" displays at the top of the TagAssign screen. If the configuration profile allows you to manually unassign yourself from the device, the "Unassign" option displays at the bottom of the screen when you press the center button.
If the configuration profile does not allow you to manually unassign yourself from the device, a green checkmark displays.
Unassigned State: When G8 is unassigned, the Unassigned and Tap Tag to Assign messages display with an orange background and status ring.
No Connectivity: When the network is unavailable, the Unassigned and No Tap network messages display with a grayed-out background and status ring. If the NFC tag is tapped, an error message displays.
Menu State Indicators
From the TagAssign screen, press and hold the center button to navigate to the TagAssign menu. You can also select TagAssign from the Main menu. The TagAssign menu shows the device's current assignment state.
Assigned State: When G8 is assigned, the TagAssign menu displays the Unassign device option. This option is hidden if the configuration profile does not allow users to manually unassign themselves.
Unassigned State: When G8 is unassigned, the TagAssign menu displays the Assign device option.
