Bump Testing
Steps to manually bump test G8.
- Attach the tube and calibration cap, ensuring the tube is securely attached to the fixed-flow regulator and calibration cap.CAUTION: Do not turn on the gas cylinder until G8 indicates you should do so.
- From the Status screen, press the center button to display the Main menu.
- Using the left and right buttons, scroll through the menu, then select Gas options by pressing the center button. The Gas options menu opens
- Using the left and right buttons, scroll through the menu, then press the center button to select Bump test.
- Select Yes by pressing the right button to continue. To exit the workflow, select No by pressing the left button.G8 performs an automatic audio and visual assessment to test vibration and lights.
- Select the sensors you want to bump test. By default, G8 bump tests all sensors. If you do not want to bump test all the sensors, are bump testing in a specific order, or are using multiple gas cylinders, use the left and right buttons to scroll through the sensors, then press the center button to select or clear the checkbox for each sensor. G8 begins to count down from 60.
- Apply the gas within this time window.
- Turn the gas off when prompted.
- Press the center button to complete bump test.G8 displays whether the bump test has passed or failed, and when your next bump test is due.
- Remove the calibration cap, then let your G8 sit until the readings stabilize and the device returns to baseline.
