The completely downloaded update is automatically installed the next time G8 is powered on. This installation adds 30 to 60 seconds to the start-up sequence.

When the green light is solid and G8 is connected, it automatically powers down. The cartridge flashes blue and yellow lights. The device becomes unresponsive. After 30 to 60 seconds, G8 powers back up and displays the new firmware version it has installed.

Once the update complete, G8 continues to monitor as usual.
