The procedure to set up a custom message, and then to send the message to Blackline Live.

1. From the Status screen, press the center button to open G8's Main Menu.
2. Using the left and right buttons, scroll through the menu, then select Messages by pressing the center button.
   
   The Messages menu displays
3. Using the left and right buttons, scroll through the menu, then select Send a message by pressing the center button.
   
   The Messages list displays
4. Using the left and right buttons, scroll through the list of pre-programmed messages until you highlight the option *Create custom* . Press the center button to select it.
   
   The custom message screen displays.
5. Use the left and right buttons to select characters, pressing the center button to navigate between characters.
   
6. Press the center button twice to send the message.
   
7. Select Yes to confirm that you want to send the message. Select Edit to make changes to the message entered. Select No to cancel the workflow and return to the Messages menu
