Installing the Multi-unit Charger on a Vertical surface

Steps to install the G8 multi-unit charger to a vertical surface.

The following procedure applies to the vertical installation of either the 5-unit (ACC-G8-CHG-05-XX) or 25-unit (ACC-G8-CHG-25-XX) multi-unit charger.
  1. Slide the two mounting brackets onto the central bar. Ensure the brackets fit snugly into the grooves on the outside of the central bar.
  2. Use a screwdriver to attach the central bar to the end of each of the brackets with two of the provided M4 screws.

  3. Using the measurements provided, mark the areas for the screws, on the target wall location.

  4. Using the hole marks as guides, drill the holes to the appropriate length for the anchors (not provided). The drill bit should be appropriate for the surface you are drilling into.
  5. Insert anchors that are appropriate for your mounting surface. For example, if you are mounting the multi-unit charger on a wall, use drywall anchors.
  6. Have one person hold the assembled mounting unit on the wall, lining up the screw holes with the holes you drilled.
  7. Place a level along the central bar to ensure the mounting unit is even.
  8. Use a screwdriver to insert the screws through the mounting unit into the wall.
  9. Line up the multi-unit charger's bottom keyholes with the hooks on the mounting unit.

  10. Slide the charger toward you to lock it in place.
  11. Using a screwdriver, insert the two provided M4 screws through the tabs on the back of the charger into the bracket.
  12. Plug the 24V AC/DC adapter into the 24V DC input port on the back of the multi-unit charger, then attached the supplied AC power cord to the 24V AC/DC adapter.

  13. Plug the AC power cord into an AC outlet with a voltage within the AC input range of the adapter.
  14. If your setup allows, place the charging block on the shelf at the back of the mounting unit (behind the multi-unit charger) to prevent tension on the charging cables.
  15. To remove the multi-unit charger from the wall bracket, remove the screws from the back tabs, then slide the multi-unit charger back and lift it up to unhook it from the screws.
