The following table summarizes notification type, urgency, and classification for cartridge-connected sensors (unless otherwise noted).

| Over Limit (OL) | MPS, IR, PID, Electrochemical | High/Alarm | Gas level exceeds the sensor’s measurable range. |
| Sensor Under Limit (UL) | IR, PID, Electrochemical | Low/Alarm | Output is below the expected minimum. May indicate sensor degradation or the presence of another gas that displaces the target gas. |
| Sensor Error | MPS, IR, Electrochemical | Low/Alarm | Indicates the sensor is not producing valid readings. May require restart or cartridge replacement. |
