Latching vs Non-latching

Latching behavior may be configurable depending on device and firmware version. If latching is used, it must be verified and documented during configuration.

Latching: Latching notifications remain active until acknowledged by the user, even if the triggering condition (e.g., gas level) is no longer present.

Non-Latching: Non-latching notifications clear automatically once the condition is resolved and any delay period elapses. By default, gas notifications are non-latching. If latching is enabled, the user must manually clear the notification.
