Cartridge Maintenance
Blackline cartridges are designed to minimize required maintenance. Most sensors are factory-calibrated, and many models are resistant to failure modes such as poisoning or cross-sensitivity.
However, regular inspection, calibration (for IR, PID, and electrochemical sensors), and clean-handling practices are recommended to maintain performance.
- Handle cartridges carefully and avoid touching the sensor membranes.
- Use a manual screwdriver when installing the cartridge. Do not overtighten the screws.
- Do not install or remove cartridges in wet or condensing environments.
If the device fails a bump test or displays a sensor fault that persists after a restart, replace the cartridge.
