Using Battery Saver for G6

Learn how to extend G6 battery life by using the battery saver setting.

The battery saver setting extends G6 battery life by automatically reducing the device communication interval to once every six hours when it reaches a configurable low-battery threshold. This setting does not prevent or delay G6 from reporting gas notifications and SOS events. G6 will return to the regular communication interval when you charge the battery to a level that's 20% higher than the low-battery threshold.
  1. Log in to Blackline Live, and then select Menu > Configurations. The Configurations page opens.
  2. Select a G6 configuration from the list. The configuration opens.
  3. Select Functional settings.
  4. Expand Low battery, and then enable the Enable battery saver toggle.
  5. In the Low battery threshold area, enter the value that you want G6 to enter battery saver mode. Enter a value between 0% and 70% in increments of 10.
  6. Select Save.
The configuration profile is saved and the battery saver setting is applied to G6 devices when they connect to Blackline Live.
